Hiya friends: I know a lot of you are headed to Pride in the next few weeks.  If you've been to a few Prides before, you know that there are certain things you'll see over and over...  chaps, free condoms, exes...

With this in mind I re-tooled a classic game for your enjoyment at Pride.  Gay Pride Bingo!  First one to get five in a row in any direction wins.  I made two game cards, so you can play with a friend:

Game card #2 (click on picture to enlarge)

If you actually want to *play* Gay Pride Bingo, here are printable black-and-white versions of the game cards: Card #1; Card #2.  I'll give out multiple PRIZES (one each month) to someone who sends me photographic evidence of a Gay Pride Bingo win (i.e. all five squares in a row).

Does anything on these cards sound familiar to you?  Is there anything else you feel like you always see at Pride?

Things I see in this Chicago Pride Parade every year:

Mayor
Alderman
Councilwoman in a dance outfit twirling baton (straight, and we all adore her)
Rabbi and congregation members for Ohr Chadash, "the gay synagogue"

Exactly what I was thinking. You don't even need to go to Pride to win, just go to Dolores Park on a sunny day (like last Sunday).

If you can get a "Bingo" in Dolores Park on a sunny day, I'll totally give you a prize.

You do realize that, in San Francisco, you're gonna have to be willing to measure "first" in milliseconds, right?

How about a contest for the most unusual rainbow item? I *think* I have seen every imaginable item in rainbow colours, from dogs to cars to s e x toys to fauxhawks, but perhaps my imagination is limited? Or maybe the person with the most rainbow items?
At our Pride last year, a group of friends stood on the parade route in the rainbow colours--first person's tshirt was red, next was orange, etc. Looked fantastic and a change from the usual over-done rainbows (this year I have decided not to wear my rainbow feather boa in the parade).

Ha, ha--awesome. Well, I think it has to be one of YOUR former teachers. Although one of your former students could definitely count you, which I feel like should be extra points...
