Butch Wonders is teaming up with the Campaign for Southern Equality and a few other folks to host a March Madness NCAA tournament for charity! Here are some deets:
So what I need from you is a suggestion for a great LGBTQ organization this tourney could benefit. Please put your suggestion, and your reason for thinking the charity is awesome, in the comments. On Monday, I'll post a poll based on your suggestions, and BW readers will get to vote on which charity we'll support! More details to follow. I'm looking forward to your suggestions! (And if you feel compelled to tweet this, which I hope you will, use #mad4equality.)

NCLR, the national center for lesbian rights! Because Kate Kendall is awesome and they do good legal work.

The Network/La Red- they're one of the few organizations nationally working to end LGBQT domestic and sexual violence while also promoting social justice. They're uber informed, inclusive of *all* LGBQT folks and are redefining sv/dv work as not simply about service provision (shelter, legal support) or even community education on promoting healthy, respectful relationships, but as deconstructing oppressive paradigms of power (heterosexism, racism, ableism, ageism, etc) that reinforce a culture of abuse. They're awesome!!! www.tnlr.org

Lucie's Place in Little Rock Arkansas. They are working to open the only Transitional Living Program for homeless LGBTQ young adults in Arkansas. http://www.luciesplace.org
