In the past 24 hours, I have received some emails, comments, and Facebook messages alerting me that my boots post didn't mention Dr. Martens. (There are, of course, Docs in the Butch Store, and I'll add more tonight.) I've been less of a Docs fan since they moved production from the UK to China, but still, they are undeniably and iconically butch. So I thought I'd add a little follow-up list of my favorite Docs styles and colors. Enjoy!

Y'know, I used to have a pair of oxbloods myself. I liked 'em at the time, but they're no longer one of my fave DM options. Hmm, I bet if I'd gotten the 8-hole version, I'd still have them! ;)

Ahh, thank you for my DM fix! Classic black steel toe caps here, but over the years I have had everything from dark green cammo to purple snakeskin and loved them all dearly. Love the shiny pewter!

Oh, Docs! :D My current favourites are a pair of Pascal Zebra Print that I've nearly loved to death. If the Velveteen Rabbit is anything to go by, pretty soon they'll be galloping around the house on their own because I loved them so hard they turned real :) 3/19/2012 12:09:19 am

I love doc martins! Boots (or shoes). A friend gave me a second hand pair size 3 which eventually fitted me like a glove. They lasted for some time before the leather split at an obvious place. Shame.

So many good memories go with my docs (black 1460s), I think my fave memory is how much my gf used to love me in them with a worn out pair of jeans....ahhh, great times!!

Docs! I saved up my psych experiment guinea pig moneys to get my sweet gold glitter flocked 1460s. I consider them my flair (think Office Space). And the fact that I figure I can get years out of them was half the reason I got them.
