What about a lesbian meet up group (where youare going solo, know no one and want to look good) at a brewery?? I don't look good in casual...but a shirt, tie, and jeans is probably too formal???

My wife runs a meetup and most people show up casual, like jeans and a Polo or button down. I enjoy wearing the occasional tie and think that pairing it with jeans and rolled up sleeves makes it less formal. I think the point for the meet up group is to be you and make friends. So, be you. :-)

Thank you for the advice!

I had a sudden vision of a knit tie on plaid shirt...I wonder if that knit tie I saw last week at the thrift store is still there. I mean, seriously, who else would buy it?? ;-)

Of course, I may look ridiculous in a knit tie...we'll see!

I've also had many conversations about whether to tuck or not tuck shirt tails. I have a tall, handsome black butch friend who looks completely perfect untucked, but I've had several friends question my untucked look when I try it...maybe because I'm shorter than her and I haven't had my jeans hemmed, so not tucking + jean cuffs = short legs. Although the same was said when I wore slacks the right length for me.

Love it! It's true, jeans are not always the thing. Even your nicest ones. Beautiful, well-fitting trousers that you love are a solution in so many ways.
